Powder brows vs microblading.

Thinking about microblading? Here is how it compares with powder brows and combo brows — and why I only do the two that last longer.

Questions

Brows: your questions.

Do you do microblading?

No. I do powder brows and combo brows, which last longer and fade more evenly. Many people who had microblading switch to combo brows at their touchup.

Which lasts longer, powder brows or microblading?

Powder brows. They are the longest lasting, gentlest on the skin and most evenly retaining of all brow tattoo techniques. Brow tattoos last approximately 2–3 years depending on your skin, sun and lifestyle.

I want hair strokes. What should I choose?

Combo brows: hair strokes blended with soft shading for depth, so they look like hair but last longer than strokes alone.

I have oily skin. Which brow is best?

Powder or combo brows. For anyone with less natural hair, or oily and troublesome skin, these are the best choice.

I already have microblading. Can it be fixed?

Yes. Old microblading is always covered with combo or powder brows. If needed, saline removal first. See microblading correction.
